I am in a bit of an identity crisis at the moment. With three kids under the age of five, I am known mostly as 'mom' which takes the form of many predictable 'hats'; lost toy detective, juice refiller, referee, taxi driver, baby whisperer, cook, nurse maid, cheerleader... you know the drill. And to be quite honest, I don't wear any of these hats very well. So I've decided to turn where so many others have turned before me... a blog. I'm hoping that carving out this specific 'space' will require me to fill up a blank page with something!
So, I have this idea that is born of my belief that God puts us where we are on purpose. In our houses, on our street, in our grocery stores, our jobs (even the stay-at-home-mom kinda job)... I believe God places us here and we are called, by grace, to open our eyes to see what we can learn from our community and the people we find there. As I pray to understand more of who God has created ME to be, I am going to use this blog to discover and learn from some unique, wonderful people that God has placed before me in this season of my life.
This is my blog. Every week (I pray)... I am committing to diving into the hearts and lives of one person God has placed to walk this road with me. I am often 'awed' by the creativity, generosity, strength of the people in my world. I want a chance to highlight some of what I see, in a hope it helps me find words for my story. .. and ultimately lead us to The Story, His Story, the story of us all.
One rule, The person I choose to blog about, if passing me on a street, would say hi to me by name.
